The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I can't thank all the people who made it happen enough. From the family and friends who helped hand stamp peacock accents on just about everything to our vendors that added the finishing touches. The day was amazing and certainly surpassed what I had ever imagined. Being surrounded by family and friends that cared so much for both Sandeep and I meant the world to us and are so happy that everyone had a great time.
There were a few hiccups, but that didn't put a damper on the spirit of the day. Our pictures didn't quite go as planned, but one can never really prepare for the fickleness of mother nature. However, Tammy, our photographer, worked her miracle and came up with some fantastic shots (which I can't wait to see). I partly feel responsible for the rainy weather as I purchased this awesome peacock feather umbrella to use as an accent in photos, however I never actually meant for it to be used for its practical purpose! One can just never know what to expect, or can you? (lol)
A forgotten item or two also paved the way for some less than idealistic moments. Right before the ceremony began it was brought to my attention that the ring bearers pillow was missing. Mom worked long and hard on creating the perfect little pillow for Conner to carry and it never made it to the church. I felt so bad, but in a positive light it did allow for Conner to put more energy into helping Elizabeth down the aisle with one less thing in his hand.
The ceremony itself was incredible in that it was reverent, personal, and comical all rolled into one. One really couldn't have asked for more and we thank Reverend Carrie Mitchell for all her time in preparing for this ceremony and making it one of those special moments in our life. Another huge thanks goes out to those that participated during the ceremony. The bridesmaids and groomsmen all went to great lengths to make sure that our ceremony was priceless and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us. Rachel, our soloist personalized the ceremony with a beautiful song that added the perfect touch to the ceremony, thank you!
The reception was absolutely fantastic! Not only was it visually stunning, it also brought everyone together for a great celebration. We certainly hope that it was enjoyed by all, from the food to the dancing. Our DJ was great, the staff at the country club was phenomenal and of course the choreographed dances just set the tone for the evening! I know I can't recapture all of the moments in this blog, so I'm just going to throw out a huge THANK YOU to all for being there and making it an evening to remember. If anyone wants to learn some dance moves we can hook you up!
